The drift hunters meta is heavily focused on keeping combos alive. A massive individual drift is impressive, but connecting several corners together can produce much larger scores.

This means experienced players don't always chase the biggest angle. They prioritize a line that allows them to transition into the next corner.

A slightly smaller drift that connects perfectly can be more valuable than an enormous slide that ends the combo.
